Then with a spatula extract the whitehead. You have to run the spatula like shaving action on the affected area. Make sure that you wash your face with cold water once you are done with steaming and extraction.
Various homemade face packs and scrubs for exfoliation can help you with whiteheads. They can be made from ingredients easily available in your pantry and fridge.
Turmeric has antiseptic properties. It not only heals but also protects from further infection and acne. Take a spoonful of turmeric, add a spoon of honey and water to it. Apply over your face and let it rest for an hour. Wash off for a glowing smooth skin.
Take a table spoon of gram flour and mix a tea spoon of turmeric in it. Add a 3-4 spoons of milk cream to give it a paste kind of consistency. If your skin is very oily then replace cream with water or rose water.
Apply this paste in a thin layer on your face and let it dry for 45 minutes. Wash off with water. Alternatively you can scrub it off when it has half dried. This will exfoliate your skin thoroughly.

Mustard oil is anti-bacterial. Take a spoonful of mustard oil and add turmeric to it. Apply this on the affected area. Let it remain for half an hour and wash off.

Tea Tree Oil: Remedies For Whiteheads
Dab cotton in the oil and apply on the affected skin. It cleanses the skin nicely as it has anti-bacterial property. It wears off the infection due to whiteheads too. You can use it twice a day.
Take a spoonful of sugar and add it to a table spoon of gram flour. Mix half a cup of milk. Now take this thick paste and rub it gently clockwise in a circular motion.
Rub this way on all the affected areas on the face. Wash off with rose water. This natural exfoliation will be beneficial in removing the white heads and give smoother look to your face.
Take a twig of Aloe Vera and extract its slime/ juice. Apply this on your face at least 5-6 times in day.
Aloe Vera will keep the bacteria and excess oil at bay without drying the face thereby protecting your face and body from white heads. It will keep the face moist and supple. You need not wash it off and refrain from the use of soap afterwards.
Grind a cucumber and strain its juice. Apply this juice on your face dabbing with cotton. Repeat the application 5-6 times in a day. It will help in drying the whiteheads and remove excess oils from the face.
Garlic is a known strong anti-septic. There are two ways in which you can use it against white heads. Crush 2-3 cloves with a tea spoon of water. Apply this water on your face and wash off with rose water after 10 minutes.
Alternatively, consume 2 garlic cloves everyday with a glass of warm water on empty stomach. This is a long term treatment and cleans the blood thereby fighting the impurities that appear on the face in form of acne.
Take one part mashed ripe papaya and half mashed apple. Add 3-4 spoons of orange juice to them. Blend thoroughly so that they have mixed well and formed a consistent thick paste. Take a band aid cloth and spread the fruit mixture on it.
Place the cloth with fruits on your face in such a way that the juices from the fruits drip through the cloth on your skin. Let it stay for an hour. Wash with normal water and do not use any soap.
Take one part of egg whites and add equal part of honey to it. Apply and let it rest for half an hour. Remove with water without using soap. In the end, dab a cotton in rosewater and apply it on the face.
Fuller’s earth has oil absorbing property. It also cools the skin off. Take one part fuller’s earth; add a spoonful of sandalwood powder. To this mixture add rosewater until it is of a pasty consistency. Apply on the face and massage gently for 2 minutes.
Let it dry. Remove it using cotton dabbed in rose water. Use this pack ones in a week. There is no instant remedy for white heads. Even after a scrub off they can re-appear in a day or two.
Therefore, you need to choose one or two kinds of home routines for your face and stick to them. The results will be visible only in a month or two.
